Studio Manager, Anna Wolf Photography/Tidal Magazine

Anna Wolf Photography is a New York based fashion-lifestyle studio working with high level advertising and editorial clients ranging from brands like Target, Levi’s, and Steven Alan to magazines such as Glamour, Cosmo, and T, Style Magazine. Anna is also publisher and editor in chief of Tidal Magazine. Working with Anna you will get hands on experience with producing shoots, engaging with clients and managing the day to day affairs of a successful commercial photographer and magazine editor. Much of this job will take place in the office, but there is growth potential that could take you on set working side by side with Anna. This position is for a self-starter, a fun person, someone with equal parts professionalism, efficacy, and excitement about life. Position Summary:

To manage the daily operations of the office - handle shoot calendar and schedule, appointments, invoices, and client/crew file delivery. Working with all aspects of social media for Anna’s studio and Tidal Magazine, such as designing blog posts, or color correction & writing text for Instagram posts. Additionally, working with Tidal’s staff in facilitating various aspects of the magazine - including production, marketing and events. This position requires a consistent monitoring of the studio’s emails, even when not in the office. Since Anna’s schedule takes her on location and out of the city frequently it’s important that the person in this role be a self-starter and not need to be micro managed. Position is 35 in-office hours per week, with the expectation that there will be some work done remotely during evenings and weekends.



  • Knowledge and experience in photo shoot production
  • Must be extremely detail oriented
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of problem solving
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate needs
  • Proficient in: Apple Numbers, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, In-Design, Google Docs, Social channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Mail Chimp
  • A minimum of one year living in New York City or surrounding boroughs
  • Able to work flexible schedule based on the workload
  • Able to commit to a minimum of one year
  • Demonstrated strong and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic retouching / color correction skills would be ideal but not absolutely necessary

Studio tasks will include:

  • In-house production for Anna’s personal and editorial shoots
  • Scheduling photo assistants and organizing car rental, gear rental and other production details for commercial shoots
  • Invoicing
  • Management of files for delivery to bookkeeper monthly
  • Consistent monitoring of the studio email account and updating Anna’s schedule, including when not in the studio
  • Maintaining shoot chart detailing each step from pre-production through post production
  • Maintaining and organizing address book contacts
  • Daily/weekly updates on all aspects of social media including Instagram, blog, Facebook Fanpage, Pinterest
  • Lay out quarterly newsletter using In-Design and send out through Mail Chimp
  • Running errands, shipping, archiving files
  • Looking for ways to improve office efficiency

Tidal Magazine tasks will include:

  • Managing/updating Tidal’s website
  • Organizing pitches and submissions for team review 
  • Updating press kit after each issue
  • Working alongside Tidal’s managing editor - Tara Trullinger - to aid in production related tasks
  • Coordinating subscriptions and distribution to stores, contributors, and team
  • Coordinating and working Tidal launch parties
